- Scoring method: Answers must be 100% correct for credit. No partial credit is given. There are no deductions for incorrect answers.

- Time required between attempts: 15 days
- Transcript and certificate: Your Fortinet Training Institute transcript is updated within five business days after you pass the exam. After that, you will be able to download a printable certificate from the Fortinet Training Institute.
To achieve this certification, you must pass one NSE 6 exam and the NSE 7 exam within two years. The certification will be active for two years from the date of the second exam.

Recertification
- If your FCSS in Security Operations certification has expired, you must pass one NSE 6 exam and the NSE 7 exam within two years apart to renew your certification.
- While your FCSS in Security Operations certification is still active, you can extend the expiration date by two years from the date you complete the following requirement:
- Pass one NSE 6 exam and the NSE 7 exam from the FCSS in Security Operations certification track before the expiry date.
- While your FCSS in Security Operations certification is still active, you can extend the expiration date by three years from the date you achieve or renew the FCX in Cybersecurity certification.
- Passing one NSE 6 or the NSE 7 exam recertifies your FCP in Security Operations, FCF, and FCA certifications if they are still active.
