NSE 7 Courses include:
Exams
- Available worldwide at: Pearson VUE test centers and OnVUE
- Scoring method: Answers must be 100% correct for credit. No partial credit is given. There are no deductions for incorrect answers.
- Type of questions: multiple choice and drag-and-drop.
- Time required between attempts: 15 days
- Digital badges: Your Fortinet Training Institute account is updated within five business days after you pass the exam.
- Once an exam has been counted towards certification, it cannot be used again to renew the same certification.
- You cannot retake an exam you have already passed.
To achieve this certification, you must pass one NSE 6 exam and the NSE 7 exam within two years. The certification will be active for two years from the date of the second exam.

You will receive digital badges under the following circumstances:
- Exam badge: Each time you pass any version of the exam included in FCSS in SASE.
- Certification badge: Once you achieve the requirements for the FCSS in SASE certification.
Recertification
- If your FCSS in SASE certification has expired, you must pass one NSE 6 exam and the NSE 7 exam within two years apart to renew your certification.
- While your FCSS in SASE certification is still active, you can extend the expiration date by two years from the date you complete the following requirement:
- Pass one NSE 6 exam and the NSE 7 exam from the FCSS in SASE certification track before the expiry date.
- While your FCSS in SASE certification is still active, you can extend the expiration date by three years from the date you achieve or recertify the FCX in Cybersecurity certification.
- Passing one NSE 6 or the NSE 7 exam recertifies your FCP in SASE, FCF, and FCA certifications if they are still active.
