New training course in the Fast Lane programme: “Implementing Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches” (RSCAT6K)

Hamburg/Berlin, Germany, 29 August 2011 – The Cisco Learning Solutions Partner Fast Lane has expanded its training portfolio with the addition of the !Implementing Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches (RSCAT6K) course. The three-day, practically oriented course is intended in particular for system and field engineers, consulting systems engineers, technical solutions architects and Cisco integrators and partners. It focuses on the installation and implementation of Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series switches, including the new Supervisor Engine 2T.

The hands-on course includes sessions held in special training laboratories. It covers the essential core skills and procedures required in order to be able to install, configure and troubleshoot Catalyst 6500 Series switches in a network environment. The training gives particular attention to the latest hardware generation and the new Supervisor Engine 2T. Subjects covered include the use of a virtual switch system, the security options offered by Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series switches, their high availability at service and network levels and the handling of IOS software upgrades carried out on the fly.
