Key Account / Business Development Manager

Job Description

Fast Lane is a leader in advanced and emerging technologies and we work closely with our technology vendors to support their content development efforts with regards to emerging technologies as well as certification courses. In addition we are supporting our technology vendors when it comes to go-to-market or demand generation initiatives as well as internal and external training programs.

We are expanding our high touch sales / business development team and are looking for an individual with solid services sales skills as well as good overall understanding of IT solutions and technologies ranging from the generic concepts of Digital Transformation to Cloud & Microservices, Collaboration Solutions, Infrastructure and (Cyber) Security.

The position requires experience in selling services to major accounts and / or system integrators as well as a solid understanding of existing technologies, solutions and trends.

The successful candidate needs to be able to have effective conversations with C level executives, business leaders, practice leaders, technical managers, etc. of major accounts and / or system integrators about the requirements of their teams and position Fast Lane as the perfect choice to meet those requirements. The candidate also needs to be able to work with the field and channel organizations of our major vendor partners (e.g. Cisco Systems, NetApp, VMware, Microsoft, AWS, Google, etc.) to identify the needs of their customers and position Fast Lane as the right choice to meet those needs. It is very important to understand that we are looking for somebody who is able to sell consulting and educational services based on knowledge and technical expertise and not based on traditional sales techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Good understanding of relevant technologies and solutions of our key vendor partners
  • Engage with major enterprise accounts and service providers
  • Engage with major distributors and system integrators
  • Engage with various teams at our key vendor partners (e.g. Channel Organizations, Field Teams, etc.)
  • Identify (business) needs of those enterprise accounts, distributors and system integrators
  • Map Fast Lane services to those needs and position our services with key contacts
Experience, Competencies, Skills
  • 5+ years of technical sales, business development, or similar
  • Bridging technical and business conversations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with C-level contacts
  • Creating solid presentations and proposals
  • Ability to work with highly skilled experts when it comes to analyzing customer requirements and preparing proposals
  • Experience being successfully self-directed
