NetBackup PureDisk 6.6 Administration (NBUPD)
Who should attend
This course is for system administrators, system engineers, technical support personnel, and system integration staff who are responsible for the implementation and administration of NetBackup PureDisk.
Prerequisites
Students must have rudimentary knowledge of PureDisk. NetBackup administration is helpful, but not required.
Course Objectives
This course provides instruction on NetBackup PureDisk.
At the completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Describe the features, concepts, components, and terminology of PureDisk.
- Install the PureDisk Operating System (PDOS) and the PureDisk software.
- Create users, user groups, departments, and locations and assign permissions to users and user groups.
- Install and configure client agents.
- Configure data selections and policies to run and monitor backup jobs, including policies to back up SQL and MS Exchange and data replication and removal policies.
- Restore client data.
- Create PureDisk reports and use the PureDisk dashboards.
- Export data from PureDisk to NetBackup, install the PDDO plug-in, and configure NetBackup for PDDO.
- Perform backup and recovery using PureDisk.
