Course Objectives
The Red Hat Enterprise Deployment and Systems Management Expertise Exam is a performance-based test of the skills covered in the Red Hat Enterprise Deployment, and Systems Management (RH401) course.
Expertise exams vary in length from 2 to 8 hours, and can only be taken by a current Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE). Official notification of PASS or DID NOT PASS is sent via email within 5 US business days of taking this Expertise exam.

Credential and Certifications
A Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) is eligible to take this exam to earn a Red Hat Certificates of Expertise. A Certificates of Expertise is earned by passing upper-level performance-based exams in specialized areas of system administration.
This Certificate of Expertise is one of three required to earn the designation Red Hat Certified Datacenter Specialist (RHCDS) and one of five required to earn the designation Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA).
