EMC Ionix IP Manager Administrator (SMIP)

This course is intended for System Administrators, Systems Engineers, Application Developers, and IT Managers.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:

• Describe the value proposition of Ionix IP Manager.
• Classify the types of entities managed by Ionix IP Manager.
• Recognize the fundamental capabilities of Ionix IP Manager, including the entities managed, relationships modeled and problems diagnosed.
• Express how Ionix IP Manager fits within the Ionix suite of products.
• Install and configure the IP Management Suite.
• Configure Ionix IP Manager to discover and manage IP network systems.

This hands-on course is designed to provide an understanding of how Ionix IP Management Suite Version 8.1 SP1 Availability Managers and Performance Managers used to provide effective IP network infrastructure management. It provides an overview of the Ionix IP architecture and an in-depth explanation of the administration consoles. Advanced features and functions of Ionix IP Management Suite are covered, including creating management policies and controlling discovery from the command line. Hands-on labs allow participants to install and configure IP Manager. This version currently supports Ionix IP Management Suite v8.1.1. This Includes Ionix IP Availability Manager, Ionix IP Performance Manager, Ionix Server Performance Manager, and Ionix IP Availability Manager Extension for NAS.
