EMC Ionix Storage Insight for Availability (Smarts) (SIA)

This course is intended for any person who presently or plans to:

• Utilize EMC Ionix Storage Insight for Availability for storage management monitoring and Root Cause Analysis of a storage environment.
• Architect and design a storage monitoring solution using EMC Ionix SIA

To understand the content and successfully complete this course, a student must have a suitable knowledgebase/skill set. The student must have a strong understanding of IT concepts and a basic knowledge of storage concepts.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:

• Describe how the value Storage Insight for Availability adds to the EMC’s storage monitoring environment
• Explain how SIA interacts with EMC ControlCenter
• Learn how to install, and configure the SIA server
• Initiate a SIA discovery on an entire storage network
• Use the different SIA consoles available to examine and monitor the storage network discovered
