EMC Rainfinity FMA Planning and Implementation (RFPI)

This course is intended for anyone who is responsible for: Overall solution design; implementation, integration, and archival of data in a NAS environment. FMA system management and troubleshooting; as well as positioning of FMA in open systems NAS environments.
Voraussetzungen
Prior to attending this course, students should have successfully completed formal training and/or have equivalent job related experience in the following areas.
- Experience with designing NAS environments; implementation and management of IP networks; CIFS implementation and management; NFS implementation and management; managing host-to-storage connectivity within a NAS environment; and some experience with UNIX/LINUX systems.

Kursziele
This workshop is will enable the student to provide technical Rainfinity solution design and
implementation procedures for the deployment of the Rainfinity File Management
Application (FMA) into NAS and other networked storage environments. To reinforce
learning, the course uses a combination of instructor-led content and lab exercises. An
integral part of the training will address: overall architecture design; basic and advanced
planning and implementation practices; data migration planning and procedures; virtual
storage performance considerations; overall best practices and troubleshooting.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Position Rainfinity FMA solutions
- Conduct environment analysis to provide best position for FMA within a NAS environment
- Provide planning assessment and resource allocation details for FMA deployment and integration
- Configure and implement Rainfinity’s File Management Application to archive and recall data using a Celerra and Centera
- Design and implement Rainfinity File Management Application to archive and recall data using Netapp and Centera
- Conduct knowledge transfer on architecture, design, and management for FMA
