This course is intended for anyone who is involved in the planning and configuration of a NAS Disaster Recovery solution using EMC Celerra Replicator, and for those seeking more pratical knowledge of Celerra Replicator V1, Replicator V2, CIFS client environments and Celerra Virtual Data Movers.
Voraussetzungen
To understand the content and successfully complete this course, a student must have a suitable knowledgebase/skill set. The student must have an understanding of:
- Windows 2K/2K3 Administration
- Managing users and groups
- Microsoft Windows domain infrastructures
- TCP/IP network, configuring, administrating, and troubleshooting
- Celerra Administration, including:
- CIFS configuration
- Virtual Data Mover (VDM) administration
- Disaster Recovery planning A list of specific prerequisite courses can be found in EMC Education Services Learning Management System.
Kursziele
This workshop provides the opportunity to use Celerra Replicator to configure and
implement a Disaster Recovery (DR) plan for a Microsoft Windows client environment.
Management tasks such as replication configuration, failover and failback, access and
permissions testing, and extensive file system management are covered. This course
currently supports Celerra version 5.6.
This workshop supports the EMC Proven Professional NAS track for Implementation
Engineers.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Describe CIFS Replication with DR
- Plan for Disaster Recovery in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Configure a Microsoft Windows DR plan using EMC Celerra VDMs and Replicator
- Implement and test a Microsoft Windows DR plan using EMC Celerra VDMs and Replicator
